About us
Hi,
We are Dries & Lieve, the owners of the Hobus webshop.
Lieve and I met in 2014 and have been a couple since 2017. We had both been traveling by van for many years when we met. Lieve's first van trip was in a VW T3 named Jetje in 2004. Dries started his van adventures in 2008 with a VW T4, Betsie.
We are both extremely practical and solution-oriented, and as you may have already noticed, traveling with a van or camper involves quite a few small problems and inconveniences.
Over the years, we searched for solutions, improvements, and fun, quality products. For instance, we started making composting toilets ourselves long before ready-made composting toilets for campers were available on the market. In the meantime, #vanlife has experienced a huge surge, and many beautiful, innovative, and useful solutions and products have emerged.
Together, we are always looking for products that simplify, complement, or simply make van life even more enjoyable. The products we are completely convinced of? You can find them here in our webshop.
In addition to a webshop, Hobus has been offering custom-built campervans, off-grid electrical installations, and some great DIY build courses since 2018.
