About us

Hi, 

We are Dries & Lieve, the owners of the Hobus webshop.

Lieve and I met in 2014 and have been a couple since 2017. We had both been traveling in vans for quite some time before we met. Lieve's first van trip was in a VW T3 called Jetje in 2004. Dries began his van adventure in 2008 with a VW T4 called Betsie.

We are both super practical and solution-oriented, and as you may have noticed, you encounter quite a few small problems and inconveniences when traveling with a bus or camper.

Over the years we have been looking for solutions, improvements and fun, high-quality products.

This is how we started manufacturing our own composting toilets long before ready-made composting toilets for campers were available on the market.

Meanwhile, #vanlife has really taken off and a huge number of innovative, convenient solutions and products have come onto the market.

We are always looking for products that simplify, complement or simply make bus life even more fun.

In addition to an online store, Hobus has offered custom-made campervans, off-grid electrical installations, and some attractive self-build projects since 2018.
