Make your own ecological toilet cleaner.

It's not difficult at all, and you only need a few ingredients. Because let's face it, if you're camping off-grid in the middle of nature, you don't want to use harmful chemicals, do you?!

It's simple to use: empty your urine bottle, add some water and a dash of toilet cleaner, put the cap back on, shake it, and you're done! You can also clean the rest of your toilet with some water and a little toilet cleaner added.

  • ingredients

    • water
    • soap (natural soap without perfume or additives, such as (grated) Marseille soap or Aleppo soap, soap flakes, etc.)
    • vinegar
    • baking soda (sodium bicarbonate )

  • how?

    • Heat 2 cups of water together with a cup of vinegar and half a cup of soap (if possible in a pot that isn't very good, to avoid a soapy taste in your next meal, although you can wash it out).
    • Stir until the soap is dissolved.
    • Gradually add the baking soda, stirring constantly. Caution: this will cause a vigorously foaming, yet harmless, chemical reaction, so don't add all the baking soda at once!
    • Let cool and pour into a clean bottle.
