Why? A composting toilet is super convenient, environmentally friendly, lightweight, and doesn't smell! (unless you don't clean it, of course)
With a composting toilet, your urine and, ahem, poop are separated. This allows you to simply pour out your urine every day. If you do this in nature, add a little extra water to avoid shocking the plants too much.
After you've "done a number two," you cover your deposit with fine sawdust. The sawdust helps it dry out, preventing odors. When the bag in the bucket is full, tie it up and toss it in the trash. No more searching for disposal points to empty your chemical toilet.
